The Foundation is currently seeking applicants for the prestigious Student Leadership Scholarship.  If interested, please fill out an application before: April 15, 2014. Eligibility: Must be a current Kirtland student (full-time or part-time) on any Kirtland campus (Roscommon, Gaylord or West Branch) and maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average.  Must be a leader on campus or in the community. The Kirtland Ms Club will be holding a drawing on December 6, 2014 for this beautiful, homemade, Trip Around the World, queen size, amish quilt.  This raffle will help raise funds for the Ms Club, which provides no-interest emergency loans to currently enrolled students.  They operate under the Foundation; in order to donate using your credit card please go to: kirtlandfoundation.org and Donate Now to the Ms. Club. Ruth Retires from Foundation Board

Ruth Ferguson has an energy and a laugh that you just don’t forget.  The Foundation was lucky to have her as a board member since 2002; a full 12 years of service to Kirtland! Back in the day, Ruth started out as a Kirtland student and eventually went on to Saginaw Valley State University to finish up her teaching degree.  She always felt a strong connection to Kirtland and when Pat McGinnis asked her to join the foundation board, she had no hesitation.  At that time she was teaching 3rd grade at Surline Elementary School in West Branch and wanted to do her part in helping the community.  Ruth went on to teach for 22 years after having her 5 children.
